how to play here.

The "Over the Tracks Tennis Courts" near 119th Street in Riverside Park are public courts, part of the New York City Parks & Recreation's system. Anyone can play here. Each player need to do one of the following:

- Present a valid, current New York City Parks Season Tennis permit, OR

- Present a current New York City Parks "Single Play" ticket

Season permits are $100 for adults, $20 for seniors, $10 for juniors. Single Play tickets are $15 each. Permits and Single Play tickets are usable at all NYC Parks tennis facilities, including the 119th Street Courts. Check the NYC Parks & Recreation website for Information about where and how Permits and Single Play tickets can be obtained.

Most courts are distributed on a first-come/first-serve basis and you just wait your turn. When you arrive you will be assigned to the next available court. Two of the ten courts are often available for advance reservations on-line for a $15 fee via the NYC Parks website.

Wait times vary according to time of day, day of week and time of year. At peak times, the wait is generally no longer than 90 minutes. At non-peak times, the next available hour is simply the next hour.
