The 119 Tennis Ladder is now OPEN for 2022! We have a single co-ed ladder, open to all current 119TA members. There is no additional fee to join the ladder. While you can use this page to access the ladder, the ladder is most easily used with the Tennis Groups app. Download the app, set 119th Street as your community, then go to "Ladder" in the menu to join the ladder, make challenges, and record scores.
HOW IT WORKS:
The ladder is a ranking system and players try to move up the ladder by challenging higher-ranked players to a match. If the challenger wins the match, he or she moves up to that spot and everyone in between slides back one spot. If the challenger loses the match, everyone stays where they were.
A challenge match consists of a single set, with a 12-point tiebreaker at 6-6. Standings from one year carry over to the next, provided the player rejoins. Any new players are added to the bottom of the list.
